Bio

img_0359Martin Frewer was born in Britain where he studied violin & piano from an early age. Martin spent his undergraduate years at Oxford. After his degree in mathematics he continued his music tuition with Yfrah Neaman at Guildhall School of Music & Drama where he also learnt viola with Nannie Jaimeson.
In 1983 Martin became a member of the Iceland Symphony Orchestra. He has participated in diverse projects both as soloist and in chamber music in Iceland and abroad. He has arranged extensively for strings and does a little composing & conducting. He has recently published a CD with his arrangements of Icelandic Songs for String Quartet. Using his mathematics he has worked as a software developer alongside his music from 2000.
